Summary: Bought this for my wife's birthday, wanting something with a decent enough spec and IPS screen. Naturally, there are caveats to buying a 'cheaper' brand such as Ainol, yet this tablet really is excellent. I researched a few competing products before choosing this model, and primarily went with the brand because of the excellent dev following/support out there.
Summary: I purchased this as i was looking for a decent 7inch tablet for my 9 year old son, I have the Nexus 7 and he is mad for it and to be honest after a quick flash of the ROM this looks and feels like the nexus - even is registerd on the play store as a nexus 7 which is sweet. The unit feels solid and have hdmi out and external SD card (better than my nexus7) It is set up and ready to go and I think he will have a ball with it. Great product and would buy another.
Summary: This is the second Ainol tablet I have purchased (the first having been passed to my son) and I have been very happy with both of them. The Aurora II is noticably faster than the Elf but both are good enough for anything I have thrown at them, including the various graphics intensive games my son sometimes uses his for.
Summary: I received this device about a week ago and I'm very pleased with it so far. It was shipped from China so I had to de-install some Chinese apps which took all of 10 minutes. Google Play was pre-installed on build 0705 of the Ainol stock firmware, so far I'm not inclined to reflash it as I've had no problems installing anything that I needed (so far). Performance is very good - the screen is excellent, wifi is fine, battery life is as expected.
Summary: I've had this tablet for a week now and having been a recent owner of an A7 single core based 7 inch tablet, I'm very impressed with the speed and response of the Aurora II. I'm a techie by trade so got up to speed quite quickly with the Aurora II by using the forums over at Slatedroid. Within 5 minutes of it being out of the box I had upgraded it to custom firmware and was at the standard welcome prompt for a new installation.
excellent build plagued with glitches! mine still works lol

I cant even put my music on external sd card and see the files! What ever you do dont slot in any sd cards!
Summary: This is a great piece of gear amazing screen quality 16Gb internal memory, good battery life and i've had no problems at all from the first boot up everything works as it should. Good build quality and great features, some of the apps are chinese but quite a few are english, signed in to Google and connected to the Play Store installed some apps, This Tablet has a great following for custom roms see 'Slatedroid'& 'Aniolstore.com/forums'should you wish to root & install...
Summary: First thoughts as I have only just received my A2. Out of the box the tablet was mostly in Chinese as is the instruction manual but remember SlateDroid is your friend! I uploaded the 0705 repack firmware (there is a video by an English guy, aidymp, that gives easy step by step instructions). After this update the Chinese is gone and the Playstore works perfectly. I am getting wifi download speeds almost up to my max broadband service; 30mbps (Virgin; very good!
Summary: Originally this TAB suffered a lot of problems with firmware etc, however due to some great work by Pat Moss and Christian Troy at the slatedroid Aurora II forum, For the price this is better than the Google Nexus 7! The camera's not great but good enough for Skype & Google hangouts! See mine running here! [...
