Acer Iconia W510

MobileTechReview.com
10 October 2013
  • Conclusion: All told, the Acer Iconia Tab W510 is a very capable Windows 8 tablet that can handle light x86 Windows app use and is more than capable to run Live Tile apps that are built-in or downloaded from the MS app store. For those of you who love the MS Surface RT form factor and weight, the 1.3 lb.
  • Pros: Affordable and highly portable tablet that runs x86 Windows 7 apps. Lovely display, excellent battery life. Lots of value for tablet's price (keyboard dock makes it somewhat pricey).
  • Cons: Modern UI runs fine, but the Windows 7 desktop mode and apps lag. Optional keyboard is cramped.

Review: Acer Iconia W510

Pocketables
18 February 2013
  • Summary: As you’ve no doubt realized, the hardware isn’t perfect. Far from it. The build quality could be slightly better, the preinstalled apps could be fewer (or eliminated), and the camera image quality could be improved. But from a software standpoint, it’s hard not to recommend the Acer Iconia W510.

Review: Acer Iconia W510

Wired
31 January 2013
  • Excerpt: If you want to compete with the iPad, you better look, feel, and weigh like the iPad. That was the clear idea behind the Microsoft Surface , and that’s where we’re headed with the third-party Windows slates that are beginning to arrive on the market.
  • Pros: Stays cool under fire. Runs forever compared to Core i5 machines. Nice fit and finish. Very portable and handy.
  • Cons: Performance is beastly. General stability issues. Difficult to justify the purchase price.

Acer Iconia W510 review

TechRadar UK
1 February 2013
  • Summary: More tablet than convertible ultrabook, unfortunately
  • Pros: Great battery life, Sturdy hinge, Super portable, The full compatibility of Windows 8, The Iconia W510 is so very portable. At 10.2-inches and weighing less than two pounds, it fits easily in a bag or large purse, and you'll likely forget you're even carrying it. The tablet itself gets excellent ...
  • Cons: Cramped, shallow keyboard, Few full size ports, Overpriced, Underpowered, Top heavy, The keyboard. We hated it. Typing anything more than a paragraph or two was tortuous, and the touchpad is a real stinker too. It's tiny, very sensitive and not multi-touch. That means no two finger scrolling, a f...

14 May 2013
