I like it when it's hooked to a wireless keyboard and a mouse

Summary: I had several things in mind when I got this tablet. For one, I wanted a Windows operating system and not any of the newfangled stuff, since I find it very tedious to learn a new OS when I'm adept with an old one. For another, I wanted several ports, including several USB ports, HDMI, ear phone.
Summary: I have been using this tablet for over a year as a device to do medical charting in my therapy clinic. It has been OK but the touch features with windows 7 made me think that there was just no accuracy with the screen. Now that I have upgraded to windows 8 the touch works so much better.
Summary: 10/18/2012: acer w500p touch screeen with docking keyboard, c-60AMD which includes the turbo boost to 1.3ghz, and the upgraded graphics chips, windows 7 os, 32gb hard drive, 2gb ram, bought this extremely cheap at a thrift store thinking for that little money i'll try it out.
Summary: OK, first off, this tablet is superb. For what it is, it's extremely capable. The CPU, while very low power, can manage every day tasks without breaking a sweat. And unlike most other AMD processors, it seems to run rather cool.
Summary: Cheap looking, very thick, and heavy. I like it. It has a few glitches now and then especially in handling Quicktime video. The keyboard works great, but becareful, you cannot just sit it in your lap. It is very top heavy and will fall over easy.
Pros: Works better than expected, even with Win7. The touch sceen performs well, considering that Win7 is not really designed for touch. I managed to adapt to it quickly. I did buy a small soft-tip stylus just to keep the screen cleaner.
Cons: The screnn should be GLASS. What were they thinking? But, for the price, gt is acceptable. Bought a 128 GB SD card. The SSD is too small for a Win7 machine.
Summary: After three weeks of heavy use I can say that the w500 isn't amazing because it can dance at all: its amazing because it can dance with the stars. I would give it 4.5 stars if half stars were allowed, but they aren't, so it gets four stars because its not quite perfect.
Summary: I got this knowing that I would upgrade Windows to Windows 8 to improve the tablet experience. This may be the only computer in my house that I'll do the Window 8 upgrade to, at least for the near term.
Pros: Good value as Windows 7 tablet. Keyboard really handy at times. Adequate number of ports. Battery life 4+ hours. Tablet improved after putting in larger mSata 64gb SSD. Even more improvement after installing Windows 8 consumer preview - much more tablet friendly OS now. Faster boot time with Wind...
Cons: Some minor boot issues solved with Bios update.
Summary: I've had mine for a number of months. It did well as a Windows 7 tablet. Now that I have installed the Windows 8 consumer preview, I am even happier with the tablet. Windows 8 is much more tablet friendly.
Summary: This tablet is my first touch screen pc i ever bought. So far the only issue i have with it that it not strong enough for high res drawing application, and don't have many touch games like androids and ipads. but if your looking to use it for keyboard less work on the go this the best thing to use.
