Some heating issues, but otherwise just as advertised.

Summary: I'll try to be brief. Pros: - Wide, pleasing screen size, good heft to the tablet itself - Acer Ring works as advertised, love the Lock Screen shortcut - New update to the Settings has made life easier, especially the ability to turn Bluetooth on and off with just a tap - Love the graphics, has taken and chewed up every game and movie I've thrown at it - Decent sound; wasn't expecting too much on this end, but it was clearer than my old laptop - I love the function of...
Summary: It's a good product and since my cellphone is an android too, I'm familiar with the system. However, it occasionally freezes and I have to wait for it to unfreeze. That's why I didn't give it 5 stars.
Summary: So, I've got a Nexus 7, which I never see anymore, because my stepdaughter confiscated it months ago. I was waiting for the Nexus 10, but a price of 4 big bills and mixed reviews, I thought I'd look for a 10 inch Android tablet alternative elsewhere. My mother-in-law bought an Acer Iconia 500 over a year ago and seemed pleased, but at the time I thought 5 bills was a bit high and pre-ICS was not so attractive.
Summary: I bought this tablet for my wife for her birthday. She said she was tired of having only the games on her old PDA and wanted something different. We both use it, and keep it running a couple of hours per day. She thinks it was a gift for me and pretentious that I used the excuse of her birthday to buy it. It is a good product with high speed CPU, and respectable I/O including HDMI and USB.
Summary: Being my first tablet, it was what I needed. But it becomes unresponsive to touch every now and then, and, there being no "Ctrl Alt Delete" function, I have to wait a few minutes at times before it responds. Don't get me wrong, I found it a lot better than ANY of my friends' current tablets.
Extremely fast, long battery, just above average screen

Summary: I struggle to agree with freakQNC's review above, actually owning a A510 myself. On the whole I am very pleased with it. I managed to get it for Uk £350 which was my top budget. I certainly recommend the A510. Remember that software on the device can be upgraded, the hardware specs are difficult to beat at this price point.
Cons: Screen nice enough, but when placed next to my Samsung galaxy S2 you suddenly realise the difference on the phone. Screen collects smear marks quicker than the phone. sound could be louder but then that's often down to the video maker not maximising
Summary: I gave away my iPhone, and my iPad. For those of you who want more control, and more options for customization, Android is THE choice. I bought 4 A500's for Christmas presents, and after using one of them a while, I pre-ordered this A510. It is fast and reliable. It is not however 100% reliable. On some apps, it will hesitate, and rarely, but occasionally freeze. It has never completely stopped, requiring a re-start. I was always able to recover it within a few moments.
Summary: First of all the tablet works well and does everything I want it to do. I wanted to give it 5 stars but can not, due to a few issues I have discovered. As I use it more I will update the review. First the positive. Setup was amazingly easy. As soon as I logged into Google it installed all the apps I had installed on my Transformer prime. No questions asked. All contacts were synced it all just worked. Also it is fast and responsive and I have not had any issues.
