Acer Iconia 10 inch Tablet

MisterTickle, REVIEW STREAM
  • Excerpt: Acer is a computer maker and now making tablets. Ever since the iPad was introduced, computer makers started to make tablets. I’ve used and experienced with a few of these tablets. The Acer Iconia is one of the better built tablets. For one thing, the Acer Iconia is much better than the Playbook. The overall feel is better. To start off with, the Acer Iconia is $499.99 and this is a 10 inch tablet.

Tablet worked great for a while

Mark, Amazon
  • Summary: Tablet worked great for a while, but this model has a very common issue of freezing up then erasing all data, including the recovery image after about a year of owning it. it is impossible to reload software onto it after this effectively making it worthless, unless you rooted it before hand.

  • Summary: I have owned Acer computers for about 12 years and this tablet is a great product. I picked it up in warehouse deals for around $160 bucks. I thoroughly love it. I have owned it about 2 months and it has performed flawlessly. The Android system is very user friendly and has great features like front and rear cameras with rear flash.

Tablets

Raven, Amazon
29 December 2013
  • Summary: Where do I begin to describe how much I hate this thing. First of all it doesn't support Adobe Flash Player so I can't play games on Pogo or most other game websites. Then it will not allow me to customize my wallpaper without cropping all pictures which then leaves about an inch by inch picture on a 10 inch screen with a bunch of black surrounding. It's much too heavy to hold comfortably for reading books.

"Died after 15 months - very common problem"

sh56fl, CNET
27 September 2013
  • Pros: Can't really think of any that makes it better than any other
  • Cons: apparently, there is a problem with the main board - lots of people say this tablet fails after weeks, or months - Acer is not even acknowledging this problem

  • Summary: My daughter wanted a tablet so I purchaed the unit from these guys in Canada. This unit was marked refurb but it's like new in the original box. I also have an Acer A500 tablet for myself and I bought one for my older daughter also. These units work like a charm. I use mine for work. They can do all in a pinch and nice presentation unit.If you need a tablet, you may want to consider this one, the price is right and it works with no glitches!!!

Really nice tablet

BJ Brown, Amazon
23 March 2013
  • Summary: I've been using this for over a year now. Acer provided an update of the Android OS once after I purchased it, but they have announced that they do not have plans for future updates. It still works great though. I love that it has all sorts of ports/connectivity.
