Great value when I bought it in 2012; has slowed down a since.

Summary: I am rating the Acer Icona A200 16GB tablet. When I bought it, I liked it better than the Apple iPad2 and it was nearly $100 cheaper. The graphics are almost the same as the iPad2, but the speed wasn't as snappy. I have had it for almost 2 years. Here are my findings: Pros: Haven't had any issues installing programs - everything installs flawlessly. Finding a case was pretty easy to find and pretty cheap. Graphics are a close match to an iPad2 tablet.
Summary: This tablet is ok. Basically my daughter (4 years old) is the one who uses it. Tablets just aren't all that useful for adults. I kind of think they are a fad. The touchscreen calibration doesn't seem as good as I've seen in other tablets...or maybe it just isn't responsive. Also, I was disappointed that it has received no OS updates. Other Iconias have, but this one is stuck where it was when I bought it. It works fine to entertain my kids, though.
Summary: I would have gotten a new tablet instead of a refurbished one. There may be a problem with the display memory (occasional screen flashes) Otherwise it is a great tablet for the price. I would highly recommend it.
Summary: it is better product than the others that i bought but since i bought the refurbished, i ran into couple of issues after couple of months the tablet restarts itself without notice and recently it stuck at the intro screen and i couldn't even recover the software.
Summary: This product works great but it doesn't play movies that aren't in mp4 format. Unless u can find a separate player in the google store. It has the tendency to keep apps running in the background which cause it to either freeze or work at a snails pace depending on what your running. The music player reloads all the icons before it will even let you listen to your music.
Summary: I purchase this tablet Feb. 2012. The tablet has worked all fine and great until just recently. When I say recently I mean 2 weeks after the 1 years warranty expired. It also seems many other users/customer are experiencing the same problem. The problem is the screen or digitizer goes crazy, and it appears the glue used to hold it down isnt good enough, like at the bottom edge. the screen becomes un usable..
Summary: I received this very fast but no instructions what s up? I purposely bought this strickly for games but it states it doesn't have the set up for the games I like but how would I know what games I can play theres no instruction manual and I am not computer intelligent so 3 starts for fast delivery
Summary: Seemed to be a good choice, good reviews at a good price. Unfortunately, I kept having trouble with the touch screen which was very erratic. Sometimes it worked great, others hit or miss. And sometimes it wouldn't work at all. Tried to get used to it, but it was just too much aaggrevation to put up with. It could have been just that particular unit, but I didn't have the stomach to try another one. Switching to another brand.
