The Acer Iconia A100 has been one of the best purchases I've ever made

Summary: Although there are more sophisticated tablets on the market in today's world, my experiences with the Acer Iconia A100 have been nothing less than stellar. It has been the perfect device for my needs since 2011, and I continue to use it to this day. I originally purchased this unit in order to allow myself to work without lugging around a bulky laptop and bag every where I went.
Summary: What a disappointment. I purchased this as a gift for my wife. Started as a reasonably priced tablet with decent performance. 1 1/2 years later it's e-waste. Details: after 13 months (yep 1 month beyond warranty) the audio out from the headphones died. Apparently the source of the problem was the I/O board. The cost to replace made it about 1/3 of the cost of a new tablet with similar specs so I chose not to do.
Summary: I got the tablet earlier than the estimated delivery date. It worked great for about two months, then turned into a brick. I looked online, and it seems this is a known problem with the A100 tablet. Acer nor the company I bought this from would help. Was a total waste of money. I have had great experiences with re-manufactured electronics and with Acer, but I won't mix the two again. Don't waste the money!
This little tablet is great! I give it a thumbs up

Summary: I got this 7in ICONIA as a gift. This little tablet is great! read a book, watch movies, listen to music, take video/pictures ... do actual work with the docs app or even on google drive! I already have a ASUS transformer 10in tablet... a little bulky to carry around. And this Iconia does most everything my transformer does but in a smaller package. With the google app store i have access to most all the same apps as my Iphone, even an Ebay App! Good bang for the buck!
Summary: In early 2012 the A100 looked like a good 7" tablet deal. True, it was underpowered, it had a grainy screen, and battery life was too short. But it was useable, it ran a current version of Android, it was sturdy, it appeared Android operating system upgrades would continue, it had full access to the Android market, it had microUSB and HDMI connectors and two cameras, and it was somewhat cheaper than comparable 7" tablets.
I've bought more for my brothers and sisters. i like it so well.

Summary: Outstanding little tablet for the money. does lots and even has front and rear camera, shots video and can do panorama stills. plays movies, music. look up things on the net with wifi connection. just a nice product and priced right. great resolution. A little longer lasting battery would be nice.
Summary: the tablet was nice in the beginning, and the price was about half of its competition. the 7" size was perfect for my pocketbook. and then.... it started to slow down. and then when ICS came out and it updated itself it started disintegrating. first the wifi stopped working, so I sent it in for a warrantee repair. It came back with new OS, but still no wifi. So I sent it back again, and it then came back with fixed wifi and even more software updates.
Summary: My wifes tablet worked great for 14 months then locked up and would not get past the acer screen. I did some research and found this is a common problem with a bad motherboard. i contacted Acer and was told send it in and we can fix it for $200. Almost the same price for a new one. When asked why I should remain a acer customer they hung up on me twice. I would stay away from acer like the plauge.
