Summary: When I bought this tablet 3 years ago, this was the only option for a 7 inch android at that time. Having said that, I have no regrets. I have been using it for three years without any issues (though headphone port doesn't work anymore). It has been a handy companion for me on several occasions.
Summary: The A100 is a great tablet. I have three of them in my house and all work great. They don't survive a fall from on top of a fridge but that is too be expected. I highly recommend this tablet to everyone.
Excerpt: I got the A100 about June of 2013-- Almost immediately fell in love with the design- felt comfortable and fit perfect in my hand. Although this is a WIFI only tablet, That's all I was searching for and the lack of a Mobile network to power compliments the battery life greatly. Mine with use of multimedia, social networking, gaming. Died and 2d 01h 23m. I was so impressed even with its flaws that I bought one for my son.
Pros: Size, Loud speakers
Cons: Screen is hard to see on angle, Toggle switch not customizable- Screen rotate only.
The Acer Iconia A100 has been one of the best purchases I've ever made
21 September 2013
Summary: Although there are more sophisticated tablets on the market in today's world, my experiences with the Acer Iconia A100 have been nothing less than stellar. It has been the perfect device for my needs since 2011, and I continue to use it to this day. I originally purchased this unit in order to allow myself to work without lugging around a bulky laptop and bag every where I went.
Summary: I bought an A100 refurb in 2012-08 from another source, and while I've love it despite a few frustrations, it's died on me only 11 months later. In my research hoping to find a cure (basically, it never gets past the Acer splash screen during startup), I've discovered that this model has a history of its EMMC chip -- the built-in flash drive -- failing. I've lost everything except the apps still in my Google Play account.
Summary: I got the tablet earlier than the estimated delivery date. It worked great for about two months, then turned into a brick. I looked online, and it seems this is a known problem with the A100 tablet. Acer nor the company I bought this from would help. Was a total waste of money. I have had great experiences with re-manufactured electronics and with Acer, but I won't mix the two again. Don't waste the money!
Summary: In September 2012, buy ACER Iconia A100 tablet, which enjoyment for a time, but a month ago stopped working. At encerderlo only shows the "ACER" and remains "frozen" take her to a taler repair (software only) and they said they had no repair, suggested I return it to the store for repair. I can do? No complaints from the seller, my claim is for the poor quality of the product sold.
This little tablet is great! I give it a thumbs up
30 May 2013
Summary: I got this 7in ICONIA as a gift. This little tablet is great! read a book, watch movies, listen to music, take video/pictures ... do actual work with the docs app or even on google drive! I already have a ASUS transformer 10in tablet... a little bulky to carry around. And this Iconia does most everything my transformer does but in a smaller package. With the google app store i have access to most all the same apps as my Iphone, even an Ebay App! Good bang for the buck!
Summary: In early 2012 the A100 looked like a good 7" tablet deal. True, it was underpowered, it had a grainy screen, and battery life was too short. But it was useable, it ran a current version of Android, it was sturdy, it appeared Android operating system upgrades would continue, it had full access to the Android market, it had microUSB and HDMI connectors and two cameras, and it was somewhat cheaper than comparable 7" tablets.
