Summary: Got fed up of paying almost £200 for continentals / good years that never wore out but got damaged by potholes. So did some research online and these came out with good reviews. So I bought two for the fronts - drove on them for a couple of months and was very impressed - could not tell the difference So much so a couple of months later when the goodyear rears were fading I swapped them for Nexen N6000 At around £90 + fitting they are great tyres...
Summary: At budget price availability £87 as I write these are a 'steal' compared to other makes for my car! I can't find better at the price! There seems little compromise, except in extreme wet conditions.
Summary: Good budget all round tyres. Need running in a little before they come into effect, but that applies with most tyres. The wear is average (I got 16k out of them). When the tread is around 3mm, I did notice a significant reduction in grip, esp in damp/wet conditions but when warmed up, they seem to be hold up alright. Would recommend.
Summary: A great budget tyre in my opinion. Bought as replacements for Pirelli P Zero Rosso's on my Lexus GS 430. The car is very heavy and powerful, and I was somewhat apprehensive. I have used Nexen N8000's on a Lexus GS before, which they were great in the Summer on both dry and wet roads but utterly useless in snow/ice/slush having 0% traction on snow.
Summary: These tyres are noisey, but put the radio on... Whilst running these tyres our mpg (17 year old car) was comparable to the "out of factory" suggestions (55mpg). we had no scary moments under cornering or braking, so thats a plus! they lasted us 28k miles, which is apparantly excellent for Nexens.
