Summary: Having read two other reviews that appear to be from the exact same person, I must say that these are excellent tires. It's very unfortunate that the person that bought a Ford Focus with a handling package didn't take the time to read up on what he was buying BEFORE he signed the paperwork. The complaints about "full disclosure" and other issues are his fault, NOT the dealer, not the car manufacturer, and not Michelin's.
Summary: These Pilot Sport 3's were OEM on my '12 Honda Civic Si. I average 1500 miles a month: 1000 highway miles, 350 city and 150 recreational, which can be pretty aggressive. The performance of the tires in normal conditions was great, better than needed for that car. I did the Tail of the Dragon in the rain with 8000 miles on these tires and had complete confidence in them.
Summary: While this may not be the very best tire in all dry conditions, for real-world driving in dry, wet, light snow, and rutted road conditions, this is one fast tire that performs well in all conditions. For my daily driver, a M-B C32 AMG, I have not found any other tire that performs as well in varied road conditions. I highly recommend this tire to all non-track performance drivers who expect great performance from their car and tires.
Summary: These tires look great on my 18" rims and have the ability to hold to the road tightly and securely in sharp turns. I'm in a warmer climate and they seem to do very well here in the South. Although I'm a fairly conservative driver, I'm not sure if these tire will have great wear rate. I think I will get 25,000 miles (maybe 30 if lucky) out of them. But these are sport tires intended for sportier cars and do the job well when called upon.
Summary: Amazing grip on the road. i drive a high performance car and have most of my life, I'm accustomed to low tread life. That's the nature of the beast when you drive an animal that requires a strong grip on the road. Some complain about the low tread life but I'm completely satisfied with this product.
Summary: Original michelins only lasted 15,000 miles on the front. Friend has same car with goodyears and has 22,000 and still plenty of wear left on the front. Tyres swopped front to rear when new tyres fitted at 15k and these then lasted to 23,500miles. Replaced with dunlops and improved comfort and better handling all round. I could not locate goodyears at time of purchase.
Summary: A worthy replacement for the standard Continental SportContact 3's that the car came with. These have a bit more wet bias and slightly more complaint ride and less noise. Overall, an excellent all-round real-world sporty choice. This proved it's worth on my Skoda vRS when my wife had to do an emergency brake & swerve in the wet at 50mph to avoid someone pulling out in front. No loss of control and my wife now won't hear of anything else on the car!
