  • Summary: Decided to go with the S001 as my preference in tyres is a primarily a stiff sidewall, and Bridgestones tend to have this. The S001 certainly has this which translates to a nice direct & tight feel :) A standout feature of the tyre is wet performance, which quite frankly is eyebrow raising, especially in standing water. Confidence is immense with totally predictable progression. The centre channels are huge which must drive water out.

Good Quality, Strong Grip, Not Super Quiet

  • Summary: Run these tyres on on my Mazda 6 MPS (215/45R18) and find the wet/dry grip to be excellent. Not sure about wear yet, as they've only covered 20,000km. Only major downside, they are pretty loud on coarse chip surfaces and have developed a hum at 70km/h (could be an alignment issue). Would recommend but they certainly aren't cheap.

  • Summary: I was led to believe that these Bridgestone's would be a better all round tyre than the Khumo tyres they replaced, in fact they are total rubbish! The wear rate is awful on my Mondeo and the road noise is twice as bad. When you take into considderation the high cost and the fact they don't hold the road very well (slightly better in wet), i would not buy these again. It appears you buy a name and not a good tyre.

  • Summary: Added 4 of these to my audi a4 quattro sport 1.8 turbo. Bought oct 11. 1st winter was great in the snow did a pretty good job condsidering. 2nd winter after 12k miles approx still had reasonable grip. Nearly 2 years on the tyres are starting crack / perish in the water channels fronts are edging to the twi rears are holding out pretty well apart from the cracking.
