Summary: I have 4 of the older UWP's and they are great. I have used them in the field for more than 4 years with no problems. I have added four more of these to my sound kit, they are great. I like the updated metal bodies, and the smaller mics. The sound quality is perfect for ENG.
Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile
Summary: I've been using this lav system with my Sony HDV-V1U and so far so good. The 2 units are metal and feel very sturdy. It's easy to use. All I had to do was plug n play and I was getting sound from it with no problems. The one thing I didn't like was that I had to purchase a bag to protect them in while not using the system. I wish Sony would have included this as part of the items. Overall, I would buy this product again if needed.
Pros: Easy to use, Great Sound quality, Plug n play, Sturdy casing
Summary: Great frequency responce with excellent bottom end. No drop outs, screw-on connectors, channel selection, and beautiful tone make these units totally professional. You can 100% rely on the Sony UWP-V1 to deliver pro sound at a great price.
Summary: Worked right out of the box. Plug in, turn on, and experience a hundred-fold improvement in your sound for your videos. These things are ruggedly built with a metal chasis and just work great. Highly recommended.
Summary: The Sony UWP-V1 new metal casing definately makes this product look and feel professional. Still lightweight and easy to use, Sony UWP-V1 is definately worth its buying. The only drawback I seem to have is the distance. I guess it might be some kind of electrical or radio frequencies, but I can't seem to get clean sound after 15...20 meters.
