Summary: This mic is horrible. It sounds like tin. I wanted to have it for an extra external mic for interviews. The internal mics were 20 times better. Sony has some awesome lapel mics. This isn't one of them. Save your money and buy one of their good ones.
Summary: Quite bulky, but is what I have expected from non miniature lav microphone. Sound Quality is better than what you expect from cheapo lavs... especially when compared with Audio Technika powered mic that is in the similar price range with this product. Fabric cable ensures the durability of the product with minimal microphonics. The clip is rather big, but has interesting 'mic stand' feature that can be handy in times.
Summary: This microphone picks up a lot of sound. Great for investigations in the field. The cable allows the microphone to be moved away from equipment which could cause static interference which could ruin an investigation.
Summary: I bought this thinking I would would use it as a lapel mic for recording interviews, but found it rather inappropriate for such usage. Its sturdy, stiff cord tends to be an unusually efficient conductor of noise. The cord needs to be taped down or put under a collar and run around the neck to effectively insulate unwanted noise from traveling along the cord.
Summary: This is an excellent accessory for the ICDUX80 DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER - 2GB. I have used it to help archive conversations with several older relatives as I work through my family's history. It produces a very nice quality sound with the aforementioned recorder. (I would be even happier if it came with a case!
Pros: Durable, Great Sound Quality, Lightweight, Simple Use
Summary: Made in Japan & No battery needed Highs freq are a bit too much and lows freq are not that deep. But its very good for recording with your mp3 etc. no distortions. I use it for live recordings. Be carefull with the mic mount there is little slot made for it. It snaps in to that.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Long Lasting, Quiet, Simple Use
