Excerpt: We are just now replacing our old sony mics with new ones. Give Sony Credit these mics where 25 years old. For Lav mics to work that long is really pretty amazing. The new ECM-44's sound great and we know they will last along time if taken care of.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Great Sound Quality, Long Lasting
Excerpt: We bought two of these four months ago for a weekly TV news program and other projects and thus far have no complaints. The get constant use and seem very well built. They sound great: clear, nice tonal range, low background noise. We've used them connected to an external recorder as well as plugged directly into cameras (using long XLR cables.) They come with nice cases and the clips are all-metal. If you're okay with battery only mics these are a great choice.
Excerpt: Used for taping interviews. Excellent sound quality. Battery lasts a very long time, but remember to take it out - there's no on-off switch. Would recommend buying one or two additional black foam pop filters, since these tend to become lost if you are not careful.
Excerpt: Yes the 77-B is better, but the sound quality of this little guy is probably top of the line for the price. I use it conjunction with a Beachtek *passive* adapter and the mic-level mini plug input on my Panasonic AG-HMC-40. Low hiss, though it doesn't put out quite a strong enough signal for the miniplug input on my Tascam DR-05, so be aware of this should you want to interfacs it over non-XLR into a recorder.
Excerpt: I had urgent video shooting in a week and I ordered SONY ECM-44B microphone with expedite shipping. I received item in 3 days and finally I used this brand new microphone. We had two of this already and SONY ECM-44B is always works great. We finished filming without any problem.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Great Sound Quality, Lightweight
