Excellent mics, worth the price.

  • Summary: Fantastic sounding mics, well worth the price, good customer service from the mfg. also. These are perfect for high quality recording, and very portable for mobile gigs. Comes in a nice carrying case, with accessories. I would but these mics again, or recommend them to a friend. The one caveat is that the switches on the side of the mic are somewhat fragile, and care must be taken in not damaging them through overly hard use of the switches.

Shure KSM141 Microphone Customer Review

By a customer from gmail.com, zzounds.com

  • Excerpt: This is one of the few microphones that I have used that work excellent on both the kick and snare. A friend brought a pair of these to a drum session, we experiemented with the KSM141 and the Microtech Geffell M930 witch ended up not being able to handle the snare. Positioned the Ksm 141 aproximatly 10" from the kick, in hyper-cardiod pointing twards the beater. Excellent response with no eq.

  • Excerpt: Wow, these mics sound great! That was my first reaction to the KSM 141. They are not totally without fault, but overall these are really great small diaphragm condenser mics. They have more features and the frequency response is much more smooth and pleasing than the little brothers of this mic, the

  • Excerpt: These mics are small diaphragm condenser mics, the "pencil" mic type. They are commonly sold in stereo pairs, since this mic type lends itself to stereo recording. It requires phantom power since it is a condenser. This mic also has a couple bonus features. There is a switchable pad, that will give you either 0, 15, or 25 db of attenuation in case you are recording something really loud that is clipping the mic.

  • Excerpt: A true marvel, it's been a while I have not been so pleasantly surprised by a couple at that price. that is, a low self-noise extrememnt an off-axis response very soft, natural color and devoid of aggression at the top of the spectrum, a brief against the current a little static compared to the
