Summary: This is the good mic and it is not fake, i check it by went to guitar show case ask one of the sale person to see the real mic, open the protecting grill, i saw every thing exactly with the mic i bought , including the special mark of Shure and the wiring color, the initial of the technician who work on that mic, brought it home , i hooked up to my Pa system to test it and the sound real good. It's the good mic Sold by the good person. Good business.
Summary: I have a Shure Beta 58 Mic and wanted a little more sparkle to my vocal with the added Presence.I purchased the Beta 87A it works well . Using the same eq settings as the 58, the 87 lacks mid range that I need . When I use it next I will try to add mid range at the mixer. The sparkle is definitely there and the Mic performs well. I was scared of being sold a fake but I checked all the signs and this mic is genuine Shure.
One of the better condenser mics available for stage use.

Summary: Love this mic. I originally was looking for a Shure Beta 58 for my collection to replace one that was stolen. Instead I found a great deal on the 87 and snatched it up. Everything the description is pretty much on target.
Summary: I tried several budget condenser large diaphagm mics like the Rode NT1 and Audiotechnica AT2020 which I loved the most for vocals. After A/B comparison with the AT2020 and the Shure Beta 87A, I noticed that the Beta sounded pretty similar to the AT, except that the Beta put the vocals more in your face, because its natural boost in the high-mid range and the supercardioid pattern, so you won't hear the room so much.
Excerpt: Not only does this mic intelligently switches frequencies to avoid interferences with nearby mic, the long battery life(16 hours on a 1: 30 min single charge) is what got me. I own other brands of mics, bu the battery life is unbeatable in the Shure 87A. Great for events where you don't want be concerned about charging your mic every four hours.
Excerpt: The Shure Beta 87A excels in the ranges that other mics quit and that is the upper end and the lower end. Clear sound throughout the vocal range, even if someone crowds it a bit. This is a hot mic, by the way. You won't have to dial up the gain on long cable runs.
Summary: There are no comments, the beta 87a microphone is a wonderful, excellent,an indescribable emotion, the immense pleasure to hear your own voice through the Shure Beta 87A IMHO is not comparable with others that I think are absolutely inferior, would recommend it to everyone.
Good clear sound, solid build, recommended for female voice.

Summary: Good solid mike, bought after carefully comparing reviews online, never used one and could immediately hear the difference in recordered tracks. Wish to have had a chance to compare it with famous Shure SM58 and see how the price difference is justified. I bought this one because it is said to be especially good for female voice, love it and would recommend. It is a trusted company and if the price is higher than SM 58, there must be a good technical reason for it.
