Excerpt: I purchase this to replace existing transmitter. Work great the only problem I notice is the battery cover starts to crack over time from the many uses of replacing batteries. The ulx transmitters have a better design as I have never had to replace the battery cover.
Summary: I loved that it was in great shape although it wasn't up to the standard of a perfect working microphone. Low end was not up to speed and the casing wouldn't come unscrewed. Someone had tightened it down so hard I couldn't get it apart.
Excerpt: see specifications above + OVERALL OPINION Good mic, probably better than the SM58 his side, but I think this mic is not recommended for musicians-singers (or singers on the move), as too prescriptive.
Summary: Generally a good mic. Suitible for stage or live use. As with all Shure gear, it's very durable and for a touring musician it can last quite a while. (but then so can any mic that's treated well) It's a dynamic micropone (moving coil) so it does not require any external power. It has an XLR output.
Pros: Nice live mic + Studio mic .
Cons: High cost that puts it below alot of studio condensers .
