A1 sound and convenience.

joespats, Ebay

  • Summary: This system is great. The wireless mics work great, no fade, loss or distortion. They use AA batteries which are readily available in regular money wasters or rechargeable units. The setup we have is a two channel unit, so both mics can be used simultaneously.

Classic hand held field microphone

Tekbench, B&H Photo
29 July 2014
  • Excerpt: There are plenty of other hand held microphones for less money. This one is worth every penny. Less feedback, more durability and a much better vocal sound. the metal body is tough, the windscreen is tough. There is a very good reason why this particular mic has been used as-is, unchanged for years. Do yourself a favor and get this mic. I use them with Lectrosonics plug-on transmitters for a fantastic fly pack that I know will work as advertised.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use, Versatile

Plays well with other equipment...

  • Excerpt: Whenever I run into someone using a looping station, or other on stage gear, I like to use my Beta 58A's. I often use condenser microphones for vocals but considering you can't get a power source to them (48V DC) when external gear is between your pre amp and the mic, the Dynamic Beta 58A is a great, durable, reliable choice with a tight Supercardioid polar pattern. I would choose this over a standard SM-58 almost any day.

Shure thing PGXD24 Beta Wireless Microphone delivers.

2x4runner, Ebay
19 April 2014
  • Summary: I bought the PGXD Beta 58A to add to our system of PGXD wireless units we already use. We use a headset on the drummer and the instrument attachment on the guitar. I stayed with all the same units in case there was ever a problem at a show I could reconfigure and plug in the guitar and use the other receiver for the headset I an emergency. After 2 years with no problems I added the Beta 58A which has worked out great.

Very Good Wireless Headset Microphone.

  • Summary: Very nice, wireless product for the price. Seems to be reasonably built. I am getting excellent sound out of this in using it for a Christian Praise Band. The only problem is the piece that fits over the Headset Microphone will not stay on. So I just don't use it. Shure you fix this problem.

  • Summary: Awesome mic!
  • Pros: This mic is an awesome vocal mic especially when paired with the Monster Pro cable's. NO clicks, pop's or distortion from the mic. You can have it pointing right at the speakers and no feedback. Love this mic. Ya won't find a better one for the price, and ya definitely won't be disappointed. I love Shore microphones to me they are the best. Oh and I have had this knocked over many times and it works like new still the grill didn't even dent.
  • Cons: Not a condenser mic. I will have the best handheld Shure condenser mic one day!

Form follows function!

  • Excerpt: Using for one on one interviews. These mics feel rugged & look good. (You get a little blue accent if you buy BETAS...) Bought these versions as they cost just a little more than other 58s, promise a touch more vocal warmth & will last a long time. Recordings are nice & clean & that's all that matters in the end!
