Excerpt: Honestly, with a little EQ you can get any sound you are looking for out of this mic, and who in their right mond isnt using EQ? By itself, the low end is great, Mids are all there, and highs are clean and clear. I record mostly Metal and hard rock. So I'm looking for slight "woof", heavy punch, and loud attack. I can get that and more out of this mic.
Summary: The 52 is awesome, if you have the speakers and amps that can handle the low end. This mic provides the thump in the chest, but you need the cabinets and/or sub to handle it.It blows my previous kick mics away.

Summary: I love this microphone for outside kick drum position, just inside the sound hole. It delivers great low end, the 50hz to 100hz is just really nice. If your after a mic that gives click, don't buy this one, I'd recommend d112 or Audix D6. I haven't tried on a bass cab or any other low frequency items, but definitely a great inside port hole drum mic. I've used live and in the studio, and both times it has given me great results. It's a sturdy workhorse that will perform.
Summary: Wenn man Musik-Equipment so ganz grob unterteilt, dann gibt es Sachen, die manchmal funktionieren und andere, die immer mindestens zu einem vertretbaren Ergebnis führen, meistens sogar zu einem sehr guten. Erstere verschwinden irgendwann wieder vom Markt - die Vertreter der zweiten Sorte werden oft zu Klassikern, die jahrzehntelang als Standard verwendet werden.
