Excerpt: I use the Shure 55SH for college game Public Address. The sound is flawlessly clean and dynamic. I can't believe I went without this mic for so long. The sound is worth every penny. It is also the first mic people actually notice for its aesthetics. It gets compliments and comments every game.
Pros: beautiful, Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use
Summary: Love this mic! It's not so much for recording but will do the job if you can not afford more than 1 mic. Just add a pop filter in front of it & it gives a very clean sound. But really this mic is made for rock'in. It gives a rich low sound perfect for live rock'n roll or metal vocalists.
Excerpt: The Shure 55SHmic was basically created to record voices and those live instruments (most people have never tried to use this on instruments) and I must say it does so extremely well. When you record those brass instruments with it, they come through crystal clear.
Excerpt: Here is a very nice looking vocal mic intended for the stage. It is very stunning to look at as a throwback to the retro mics of the 50's and 60's. You would expect to see Elvis grabbing one of these and singing into it.
