Summary: Wonderful mics for the money. Crystal clear sound. Would not be afraid to record these mics. Anybody who has a karaoke business would benefit from these mics as well. Very durable...and oh yeah, did I mention the crystal clear sound?
Summary: It is a very good mic for vocals good tone and very clear and must be a very tough as my mic has a lot of signs of being on the road, maybe even dropped a few times and it still sounds great. Much better than the shure 57 mic that I used before this one. I'm very happy with my "Sennheiser E815SX" and it's got a lot of life left in her.
Summary: I was a little disappointed that the xlr cable on one end the rubber boot was loose and when I went to use the cable it didn't work, a wire inside was broken from the sodder. I should have asked the question on how tall the mic stand was, it's a shorty. The mics seem to be pretty good, so the cable was the thing that I was unhappy with.
Summary: Good solid mic - good-omni directional properties - working well with Sennheiser wireless transmitter fr ENG interviews etc. Solid feel in hads - windshield seems better than some other mics like this. Hs On Off switch on handle.
Sennheiser E815S Professional Hand-held Microphone
9 December 2008
Summary: This is a very solid hand-held mic. It has a bit of weight to it, which is actually desirable because it makes it rugged. Its quality is good, and this is expected from Sennheiser. However, I know Sennheiser makes some better hand-held mics, but this is still a very good mic. I use it for on location shooting and weddings, and it works great with the Sennheiser wireless kit or a long Canare XLR.
