Terrible shotgun mic (great omni mic)

Svetlana, B&H Photo
28 March 2015
  • Excerpt: I bought a used one and I thought I was going to get a reasonable deal, but no. The first and most serious problem is that this supposed "shotgun" microphone is super sensitive and its pickup range is virtually 360, this is a BAD thing for an audio device that is intended to only pick up sound from...

Difficult Battery Door

Goog, B&H Photo
14 February 2015
  • Excerpt: The plastic construction is meant to keep weight down, and it does. Unfortunately, the plastic battery door was extremely frustrating to operate. It took many minutes of maneuvering to get into place correctly.

21 August 2014
  • Excerpt: Only work for a few uses. They make a squeaky sound every time the mic moves. Better off taping the mic to the camera. It's useless with the bands.

Not what I expected

Bmann, B&H Photo
26 June 2014
  • Excerpt: Bought this with hopes to use as an on camera boom mic. Used it at a wedding and at a event where I interviewed a couple people. The wedding sounds were okay, but very far away and barely adequate. The interviews were horrible, sounding like in a barrel.
  • Pros: Lightweight, No batteries needed
  • Cons: Bad Sound

Too small

kimww, B&H Photo
30 September 2013
  • Excerpt: I should always read the reviews before buying anything. The bag is a poor fit for the microphone. Since it was made for the mic I own, I didn't research it. MISTAKE! I'll keep it because it will protect the mic, but am VERY disappointed : ( and would have purchased a plain neoprene bag the correct...
