Excerpt: I got this shock mount as part of the Procaster "kit" and felt it would make my recording setup better. The Rode Procaster mounts to the inner ring using the threaded base found on the microphone. There are two bungee style bands that center the inner and outer rings and provide the shock stopping power. Using the PSM1 I was able to move the microphone around without generating any audio feedback so it did its job well.
Excerpt: A great shock mount for anyone using the Rode Procaster or Podcaster. Works very well with desk stands such as the Atlas Sound DS7E. I've only owned this shock mount for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to longevity. But it seems to be well constructed (as Rode products are).
Excerpt: I use this with the rode procaster. it's the shock mount that will fit it as it a very bulky mic. The shock mount is very good at isolating the mic. It also adds a good amount of weight to an already bulky mic. This is good because the rode retractable studio arm I am using with the combo needs weight to counteract its rather heavy spring action.
