Mediocre Industrial Design.

10 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I would not recommend getting this. I have a Rode Shotgun mic and this pistol grip shows they shouldn't stray too far into anything else but mics. The design is fairly cumbersome for something that should be simpler.

Problem for users in North America

jfriesen, B&H Photo
20 May 2015
  • Excerpt: The thread for attachment to a boom is 3/8" when it should really be 5/8". It may be an embedded adapter in the handle but I have not been able to remove it so can't tell if the threading is permanent or adaptable. Very frustrating! Can't use this product until this problem is solved.

Great tool

JJ, B&H Photo
19 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I've used this on many productions and finally got one of my own. Great when in cramped space or on the move, especially when you have someone holding it who doesn't really know audio... easy point and "shoot".

Great shock Mount for NTG-3

TvPat, B&H Photo
9 September 2013
  • Excerpt: This shock mount holds my NTG-3 very snuggly and does a good job at minimizes the transfer of handling noise to the microphone. The adjustment lever really helps speed up the process of fine tuning the mic's angle. I like that the kit comes also with an optional size to fit other mics.

Easy to use

Rusty, B&H Photo
28 June 2013
  • Excerpt: Easy to get my NTG-1 mounted and rolling in the field. You will have to practice a few times getting the cable through the grip if your not going to permanently install one. Its quick, but quirky. I like not having one installed so I can use the cable length needed for the situation.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Quality Construction
  • Cons: Limited Noise Suppressio
