Great Mic

Songwriter Man, B&H Photo
27 December 2012
  • Excerpt: I give 5 stars because the quality seems great so far and the mic seems sturdy. I have only had the chance to use it once or twice, but for testing it in a poor acoustical environment and not having a great pre-amp yet, I got very good sound.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use

  • Summary: I had always heard from others that these mics were true champions in the studio. Just gives you the best reproduction of sound at this price point for PRO gear. And, I was a bit unhappy with what I was using before. It wasn't right for my voice, so I got this NT 1000 for a very good deal on EBAY INDEED!!!

Best mic for the price range, I have tested them all.

  • Summary: Great mic, super accurate. A must have for those recording on the professional level. I have used many mics but this one really records just about everything perfect. Having the proper room helps to and a good ear. But it is solid like a tank and sounds full. NO brittleness to it.

The best single mic you can own

Volstag, B&H Photo
3 October 2010
  • Excerpt: These are great mics, once modified mind you. Stock, they are passable, but fraught with problems. Peaks in the high-end, thin sound, etc... But with a little work by a mic mod expert, they become amazing.

Rode NT1000 cuts through the mix...

jordan743, Ebay
1 May 2010
  • Summary: I have been project studio recording for many years, and I can tell you that for the money (I hate it when people say that cliche') this is probably the best mic for me. I have used it on acoustic guitars, vocals, and various other percussive instruments and I can tell you simply-it sits well in the mix. It does have a slight warmth to it-not colored-and certainly has a bite at the top.

Rode NT1000 Professional Microphone - Awesome!

djanystyle, Ebay
4 September 2009
  • Summary: Love this Mic. A friend recommended it to me and I love it's warmth and breadth. It's a solid, well-rounded Mic. Coupled with the SM-2 shock mount, I can't see you'd need another main mic for most situations. Highly recommended!

Solid, Smooth and Silky!

  • Summary: What to do?! What to do?! I did a lot of research in this price range for a decent workhorse mic. I have a long history of recording in simple and high end studios, so I have heard the big money gear and the lower end gear for years. My gear budget needed to cover other gear too, so I had to make wise choices. The NT1000 had a consistant record of impressing pro reviewers and reviews from people like me out here in the home recording world were usually pretty positive.

Sweet Sound...

Rahul Nambiar, music123
11 March 2009
  • Summary: I bet most of the sound engineers will consider RODE mics as the most commerciallyreliable mics.. Take the Nueman and Akg's.. they always need to cut frequencies and mould the tone, but in the RODE NT1000, you get a sweet high and a commercial sound right from your preamp. No cutting, No messing with the EQ. For the fast food muscian, this is a time saver. It has a sweet high sound and makes your vocals sound clear and sharp.
