Inexpensive Boundary Mic

GwK Video, B&H Photo
19 May 2013
  • Excerpt: Excellent as front boundary mics for tap and ambience where they are in harms way and subject to abuse at front of stage. Cheap to replace. They work out fine for me.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile

Nady SPC-25 mic

Abe, Adorama
24 December 2012
  • Excerpt: Nice mic. Well worth the price. Easy to use with it's own phantom power. However I am a little disappointed in the clarity of sound in that it can be easily overdriven.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Versatile
  • Cons: Poor Sound Quality

Terrific Value & Great Performance

Adveser, Adorama
2 November 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought this because I was sick of cheap dynamic mics that did not mix well with state of the art studio condensor microphones.I was a little bit weary because a lot of low cost microphones are not wired properly to work with a BJT amplifier and produce a lot of noise unless the internal componenets are rewired.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use, Transparent
  • Cons: No Cable

Nady spc-25 Mics

none, B&H Photo
1 May 2011
  • Excerpt: I needed a pair of battery powered Mono mics to go with a digital movie camera that has a mic input port. All else I needed was a cheap inline volumn control to cut the input way down. I use them to record live player piano in sterio. These mics do a perfect job, once adjusted.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Great Sound Quality, Lightweight

Worth the price

  • Summary: Haven't tried it yet in a live situation, but plenty of output and feedback doesn't seem to be a problem; noticeable presence peak should suit vocals. Battery operation is convenient and the body seems solidly made.

SM 58 on steroids

  • Summary: I mic my resonator guitar with this. Side by side its same sound as a 58 but much more powerful pickup. A great find.

Fantastic Mic

Michael Bryant, music123
5 October 2007
  • Summary: Out of 30 microphones in my arsenal, this is the "Jewel of the Pile". I am truly amazed at it's clarity and range. Many of my mics cost considerably more and I still use an expensive, high quality large capsule mic for recording but for live performances, this has become my mainstay. I use it every Wednesday night in public and every day at home for practice. So far it's just been great! Good goin' Nady! SWEET!
