Amazing Sound Quality and Build Quality

Kyle S., Newegg
18 November 2014
  • Summary: The only thing you have to be careful of is that the mic twists. You could REALLY break the cord that connects the mic to the computer if you are not careful. I almost damaged it some but I was able to stop myself. Overall, great product and I recommend that you buy it.
  • Pros: This microphone is by far one of the best mics you can get for the price. The sound quality is amazing and once you get the hang of using it, you fall in love with it. It is also built very well and is simple to use. This mic is good for anything from YouTube video of whatever, Podcasts/Radio Shows, sounds for video games, music vocals, and more just that is the main audio things.
  • Cons: None that I have found.

Worth it

Kevin E., Newegg
30 October 2014
  • Pros: Excellent sound. Having this mic for my Skype and other conference calls is invaluable. Even with bad connections the added clarity is a big help. Also perfect for recording voiceovers for videos; haven't needed a pop screen in cardioid mode. Also an excellent in two-way mode for interviews, although sometimes I turn the gain down because the mic is just too good and will pick up room noise.
  • Cons: Has a somewhat large desktop footprint. Since it's mountable I'll probably just get an articulated arm so I can easily move it in and out of use.

Outstanding! Both Windows 7 & 8 and Linux!

William H., Newegg
27 October 2014
  • Pros: Review as of 10/27/2014, Owned for 1 month: Excellent quality! Works perfectly on both Windows 7 & 8 and Debian Linux (latest stable). Tested using Audacity (recording software) and Skype on both systems. While on Skype, my spouse in another country said it sounded so clear that it was as if I were actually next to her. Suggestion for Debian Linux users: Search the Skype site for "Debian" and follow the installation instructions. On "amd64" port, you need to use "dpkg...
  • Cons: None.

amazing sound easy to use, brilliant design, solid as the Rock of Gibralter

stevius, Ebay
14 September 2014
  • Summary: This is an amazingly versatile mic that sounds great, is brilliantly designed and really well built. The regular Yeti may be just as good for most applications, and typically over $100 cheaper. The one thing I'd love is for its awesome base to somehow be able in itself be attachable to a mic stand for the sake of its tilt ability functionality. It's true that you can put the Yeti directly on the top of a stand, but you can't tilt it.

UPDATED REVIEW

Kenny T., Newegg
19 July 2014
  • Summary: My first mic worked for about 5 minutes, then stopped, so I RMA'd it. No eggs off for that since the review is for a working mic, and most of the mics they ship out work. People that complain about it being too sensitive clearly don't know how to set it up properly. If you leave the input levels of the microphone at 100% in whatever program you use then you're going to pick up EVERYTHING. So turn the input levels down before you rate this thing at one egg!
  • Pros: -Good Quality Audio -Sensitive IF you want it to be
  • Cons: After the RMA, nothing.

Big, Strong, Beautiful

Anthony T., Newegg
24 June 2014
  • Pros: -Easy to install and use. -Completely solid and sturdy. -4 different directional settings to choose from with just the twist of a dial. -easy to use mute button -headphones port and headphones volume control on the mic itself. -beautiful and silver. Honestly I have never purchased an expensive microphone before and for 120 bucks I am happy with this purchase. It is a nice mic. I sound clear, more than I ever have before. Hold it up close to your mouth and speak into i...
  • Cons: Not really a con but it's pretty heavy and thick. It has a spot on the bottom for you to screw into a regular mic stand but don't try to hold it like a regular mic, it is very thick.
