Summary: It's big and looks professional but so do a lot of toys. If they had spent as much on isolating it as they did on making it look all big and tough, they would have a good product. Can not be disassembled due to permanently affixed knobs that protrude through the metal body of the microphone itself. It might be possible to cut them off and replace them with aftermarket knobs.
Pros: Very sensitive. Pattern descriptions seem accurate.
Cons: No, as in NO isolation through the stand or in the mike body. Loud hum picked up from other items on a (heavy, formed plywood) desk. These are a flat panel monitor, yes, 60 cycle mechanical vibration, not much but enough to be heard through the Yeti. Out board disk drive, must be turned off, very loud through the Yeti, Dragon NS will not function with it on. A halogen desk lamp, the power supply hum. And these are not cheesy items.
