Durability Is A Problem

Changwoo L., Newegg
5 September 2015
  • Pros: Great plug and play mic, nothing more and nothing less.
  • Cons: Started failing the 5th month of owning this product, and completely failing soon after. Blue support is also slow.

Cords Cheaped Out

jbunch2514, Staples
13 July 2015
  • Summary: The Mic is great quality but a few issues really popped up. If I got Close to mic, and then moved back, it'd automatically drop my sound and I'd appear really far away.

Blue Microphones Microphone

ladycuddles, Overstock
29 May 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this item from another "online" seller, simply because it was cheaper. The mic came shrink wrapped, in its original package, and brand new. The microphone worked flawlessly while I did a two hour radio show, and then, the system reported the microphone was disconnected, and wanted to...

No isolation

Allen G., Newegg
7 September 2010
  • Summary: It's big and looks professional but so do a lot of toys. If they had spent as much on isolating it as they did on making it look all big and tough, they would have a good product. Can not be disassembled due to permanently affixed knobs that protrude through the metal body of the microphone itself.
  • Pros: Very sensitive. Pattern descriptions seem accurate.
  • Cons: No, as in NO isolation through the stand or in the mike body. Loud hum picked up from other items on a (heavy, formed plywood) desk. These are a flat panel monitor, yes, 60 cycle mechanical vibration, not much but enough to be heard through the Yeti. Out board disk drive, must be turned off, very...

Too much hassle and would not recommend. Stick with a good headset for gamers

Astacie, Amazon
19 March 2016
  • Summary: I guess it does the job, but I ended up buying a headset instead. The USB cord it comes with gave me problems with connectivity, then i researched and a lot of ppl are having the same issue with installation and cord.

Quality lacking

Royford, Amazon
13 November 2015
  • Summary: Had to downgrade my review of the Yeti. After a couple days I noticed that the mute button was only working 1/4 of the time and needs to be pressed repeatedly to activate or deactivate.

Didn't work after only 2 months and a half

Micheal Tan, Amazon
27 November 2014
  • Summary: Sound is subpar but it's not bad, just mine didn't work that well. I'd go for an AT2020 for around the same price and AT has better customer service. I bought this in the past. Only worked for 3 months and computer never re-recognized the microphone anymore.

Mic threads didn't fit 5/8" stand

Alan Fujino, Amazon
11 October 2014
  • Summary: Nice sounding microphone with nice user options to select pattern but the threaded area for the microphone stand was larger by just about 1 millimetre(1/16 of an inch). I tried various brands and all results were the same. The threads would barely push completely over the stand threads.

Broken within 6 months

Jesse Wintonyk, Amazon
10 July 2014
  • Summary: I loved this mic. It worked and sounded just as advertised, and i like the features, but I wont be getting another one. Within 6 months it started making an insanely loud buzzing sound, making it impossible to use. Tested the mic on several computers and it did the same thing each time.

Not suitable for my application. (recording live performances)

Irving Cosgrove, Amazon
30 March 2014
  • Summary: Too bulky and heavy. It is poorly constructed using plastic knobs etc. The output level is too low to use with my MacBook Pro.( I use the Audacity program)
