Summary: This microphone should be used in a studio only.. do not ever use it with a computer on say google voice or skype or anything like that. If you do, plan on getting a boom or something like that for it. And deal with a 5 foot metal pole next to you.
Cons: Picks up too much. Lack of options No way to stop it from picking up ton of bass.
Cons: Durability IS a problem! I had to buy 2 mics. The first one died just past it's warranty, (1 yr?) and the next one died 2 weeks before the warranty expired (1 yr I hope) These things sound good.. but they are not built to last at all. YOU WILL experience problems with the usb connector I guarante...
Summary: Upgraded to Lion OS X and Blue Yeti Pro. Does not work. When plugged in USB, the cable is loose light blinks. Seems high quality product, but manufacturer skimps on updates and fixes. Spent approx $300, and very upset with Apple and Blue for not resolving before launch.
Summary: I got the blue yeti mic as a gift for christmas, a couple weeks after having it the power supply starts cutting in and out over and over again, the mic wont work for anything i need it to. very un happy with the gift.
Summary: After plugging it in directly to my mac the background noise coming through this mic was terrible. I would expect it to sound at least better than my free apple headset mic but a side by side test showed the FREE apple mic was way better.
Summary: This beast weighs around 5 lbs and is over a foot high when extended. I can't get it to record without a hum that ruins everything. Overly sensitive and no way even with the gain down at lowest setting to get rid of it.
Summary: Upon purchase this microphone was incredible, easiest the best thing I had ever owned. However when I came to use it a second time the recording was too quiet and a continuous beeping noise was being registered. I checked all volume controls and settings and there was no solution.
