An excellent addition to any mic collection

  • Summary: Great microphone. I've always been a fan of ribbon mics, and this 260 joins the Beyer 160's and 130 I have in my collection. The 260 is similar in sound to the 160, but at a discount. Grab one!

  • Excerpt: The Beyer Dynamic M260 is a ribbon microphone designed for use in the recording studio. As with all ribbon mic, I wouldn't use this outside of the studio, but as far as ribbon microphones go, the M260 is as sturdy as any. It has a hyper cardioid polar pattern.
