Excerpt: I use this mic with the Pearstone LMT100 - Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer feeding an Olympus LS-10. Finding a good wired lavaliere or head worn mic with a 3.5 mm plug is nearly impossible. With the PRO 8-HEX, no phantom power is needed and the hyper cardioid pattern does a great job of rejecting unwanted sounds in the room.It takes some fine tuning to get the placement of the mic right to eliminate Pops and esses even with the windscreen.
Excerpt: Needed a "wired" (not wireless) head worn mic for lecture sound reinforcement. This fit the need nicely. With mic placed at the corner of the lips and the small pop filter in place, it's reasonably comfortable and sound quality is good. Allowed the portable Mackie speaker/amp to be operated at high volume without feedback. Good for PA use, probably OK for vocals if the talent can deal with the wire.
Excerpt: This Pro 8 Hex is used at Clear Channel Stadium in Lancaster, CA. I'm the Public Address announcer for the JetHawks, the single A affiliate of the Houston Astros. This Headworn Mic is a replacement for the original at the stadium. The quality definitely hits a home run!
Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile
Headworn Mic (Audio-Technica PRO 8HEx Professional Mic)

Summary: The mic was just what we were looking for. A young man in our church's praise band that plays the guitar also sings. This picks him up much better than other mics that we tried. The price was less than the very same mic in local retail stores. We are very happy with it. If we were to need another we would shop here first.
Summary: I bought this microphone because I play 4 keyboards behind my wife who sings in our music ministry. I am way to busy to be tied to a microphone that is stationary in front of me so I thought I would try this PRO 8HEx out. I was really please with it and I hardly know I am even wearing it. The sound is great! Just be sure to mute it before you start to remove it or you get a lot of handling noise, but that is the only con I would have.
