Very Satisfied with Performance

E. G. SOMES, B&H Photo
17 April 2014
  • Excerpt: Installed two of these to pick up and reinforce sound in a church sanctuary. They work great in the space. The two mics cover the entire downstage area and we no longer need lapel mics or mics on stands. Coverage is even from stage right to stage left...works for us. I did have to purchase new Audio-Techica cable to get them to work well. I attempted to use them with existing cable and got feedback all over the place.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight

Perfect for choir/ensemble

Lakesound, B&H Photo
25 December 2013
  • Excerpt: I purchased 3 of these for a cantata production. I hung them from the ceiling over the back row of tenors and basses. For the first time we could actually hear them! I was trying for a balanced choir sound and these helped a lot. In our room we couldn't get a lot of gain before feedback, but more gain probably would have unbalanced the sound. Everyone was impressed, and it helped us get a much better recording too.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Great Sound, Lightweight, Small, Unobtrusive

Paul Marcarelli would be proud...

Palimpsest, B&H Photo
1 February 2012
  • Excerpt: I was tired of using speaker phones, or a mic on a webcam, for conference calls, and in a 1200 Sq Ft room I also got tired of the people at the other end not being able to hear very well. So I purchased an Audio-Technica AT-MX341A SmartMixer and three AUPRO45W hanging mics, and got a great sound! They are hung about 8 feet apart in a triangle pattern, about 6 inches from the ceiling, and they feed into a VOIP softphone.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Easy To Use, Inconspicuous, Lightweight, Versatile
  • Cons: None so far

Upright Piano Application

Cam, B&H Photo
22 January 2012
  • Excerpt: This is enough of an industry standard that not much has to be said about quality! Thought some would like to know that I used a pair of these with the hangers to mic an upright piano quite successfully. Opened the top lid and duct taped the hangers into position with each mic about 25% away from the end of the keyboard and pointing down and angled slightly in toward mid keymoard.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile
  • Cons: Nothing

  • Excerpt: working on getting a studio set up focusing on ease of use. These are cheap, but still deliver well on the sound. I'm using two in a classroom setting, one directed towards the professor, and the other towards the classroom for streaming classroom.
