This product is used with my HD camcorder to film free handicap hunts/
4 November 2012
Summary: I was looking for an external microphone to be used with my HD camcorder. The product works great and will be used to film handicap hunts that I offer to children, veterans, law enforcement and adults who are confined to wheelchairs.
Summary: I have had great luck with Audio Technica mics in the past, but this mic sounds TERRIBLE on my Canon t3i. Very noisy, high noise floor. Can't make it work any better on my Canon Vixia camcorder either. Very hissy and poor sound. I wanted to like this mic but it's not worth buying.
Summary: I read all about the other camcorder microphones out there but this one suited my needs the best. Most add-on camcorder microphones such as the Videomic are not stereo. The few good-quality mics that are stereo are very expensive and too large. This often over-looked stereo microphone has superb sound, is very small, rugged and also lightweight. I use the Pro-24CM mounted with a cold shoe adapter on my Sony HDR-SR11 and the sound is CD-quality.
Pros: Comes with Camera Mount, Great sound, Rugged Metal Build, small and lightweight, Stereo Cardioid Design
Summary: I was looking for a quality, affordable, lightweight camcorder stereo mike with an integrated shock mount for my Sony SR-11. The Pro-24CM fits the bill nicely. It's not quite as crisp and punchy as the Sennheiser and the Rode but it's darn close. A great little mike for the price. Bottom line: For the same price you would pay for a junk Sony handycam mike you get a prosumer quality camcorder microphone that will improve your camcorder's audio while minimizing wind and...
Summary: I bought it for a special application for one of my smallest cameras. I did not expect to get excellent quality but needed the small size. I tried it on a Canon HV20. To my surprise, The on-board microphone is vastly superior to the Pro-24CM. I didn't think that this was possible.
Summary: I bought this for my Canon Elura 100 camcorder to prevent the hum from the camera's mechanics making it onto tape. I haven't been disappointed. I have used it to record audio at concerts, baseball games, ambient outdoor sounds in the forest, etc. The sound is excellent. I also use the Pro 24 with my Zoom H2 recorder to do post-game interviews for the Senior League Baseball World Series Web site. The sound is crisp and clear.
