Great Quality for the Price!

  • Excerpt: I bought this mic to make a video I needed to do out on the street and didn't want to use the camera's built-in mic. I used it with the Canon VIXIA HF R400 with good success. I was shooting in fairly busy streets with my presenter about 10 feet away. On the telescopic setting, the mic worked well to pick up the presenter's voice, although it also picked up a lot of other noise as well. For the price, I was very pleased with the product.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Great Sound Quality, Lightweight

  • Excerpt: Planned to use this mic to improve voice isolation for home-studio dialogue recording. Found that the "Normal" mode provided better directional isolation at the cost of an overall muffled quality, while they "Tele" mode failed completely to provide any directional isolation.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Noisy, Unreliable

  • Excerpt: This microphone is just amazing! Teli mode can pick up my voice from very far a way. Just the battery in the package it did not work but that was fine.I definitely recommend getting this microphone.

REASONABLE INEXPENSIVE MIC

  • Excerpt: We used two of these to make films at a teen filmmaking camp. They worked well and were easy to use. Like many shotgun mics, they did have a problem with wind noise. If you use them outside, wait for calm weather or get a windscreen.

The Microphone worked pretty well

  • Excerpt: I purchased this microphone in order to record sound for a short film I was making. The microphone worked very well, I had it connected to an audio recorder, and all of the audio sounded pretty good. If there were any short comings they were probably more rooted in my lack of experience with recording audio. The telescoping feature appeared to work very well and would probably have been a better option for many of the shots that I maintained the microphone on normal for.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Long Lasting

Will not buy again.

  • Summary: I tried using the mic with my Canon Rebel T2i. It worked well with my test run. When it was time for me to use it the next day it had stopped working. I've tried adding a new battery and still no luck. Needless to say that this product was a waist of money. Product stopped working after a few days.

  • Excerpt: This mic is ok, but not much better than the built in mic on my Vixia. In my experience it generated significant amount of static noise. it is ok for general outdoor use, but not for interviews.

  • Excerpt: I bought my Canon Rebel a couple of months ago and have been looking for the right mic ever since. I saw this one reviewed on @ but some people were saying that the sound improvement wasn't that great compared to the on-board mic. Well, I can attest that this microphone is THE ONE! It absolutely improves your sound 100%, comes with a battery and a mic clip.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Great Sound Quality, Lightweight, Long Lasting

Not the best mic

Tiffany, B&H Photo
11 June 2014
  • Excerpt: Easy set up, light weight but the tele mic option gives a squelchy feed back. Also it doesn't do well with wind noise cancelation.
