  • Summary: The AT851A is a boundary mic (PCC type) that is excellent for picking up multiple sound sources with very natural sound quality. I use it for recording our church choir, and have also used it as a piano pickup adhered to the inside of the piano lid. Recently taped a four-piece dixieland jazz band with it and the output was like truly sitting in the quartet - clean, no echo or phase problems, no presence effect, reflecting their acoustic balance as they listened to each...
