A good mic, with no hum

Pros: Heavy duty (all metal construction, including stand); records with no hum and little to no background noise; Plug and play on Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 here); Audacity reports signal as being centered (no DC current leak or voltage bias)
Summary: I purchased this microphone with the intention of recording lyrics for a homemade rap record. It is extremely efficient, picks up all sounds within range, records crisply and clearly, etc. The cardioid pattern is also very good.
this is probably the BEST usb mic that you can probably get

Summary: this is probably the BEST usb mic that you can probably get. the little mic stand if a bit annoying but hell you can always buy a stand. i would recommend this over the Blue Yeti and the Blue Snowball. Blue Yeti is just to damn big. The Blue Snowball just gets in the way.
Summary: The sound quality is fantastic (much less background noise than any other mic I've used). I recommend having the microphone level at 50 for your sound settings on Windows. That seems to reduce background noise as much as possible without being too quiet.
you'll be using the default base included with your microphone and the Yeti's base was terrible, picking up any noise that touch

Summary: I recently bought this microphone to use instead of my Blue Yeti. As of yet, a few weeks after purchase, it fixed all the downsides I had with the Yeti. - My first big problem with the Yeti was its size.
