Affordable, Versatile Podcasting Mic

  • Excerpt: Great mic. I use it to record animation VO and podcasts with my friends. Works great for VO auditions as well. We have two and, at least with Macs, you can use them both simultaneously sans a mixer after messing around in Audio MIDI Setup in your utilities folder.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile

AT2020USB and Voice Recognition

Salmon the fish;, B&H Photo
23 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I use the AT2020USB with Voice Recognition. I am disabled and need a dependable microphone to email, chat and to control some aspects of the computer. I use a arm assembly to hold the microphone to position the AT2020 or swing it out of the way when not in use. The AT2020USB provides plenty of gain though the voice recognition software adjusts the gain to accommodate the voice recognition software. I seldom listen to the true sound of the AT2020USB.

Solid Performance

  • Excerpt: I purchased this mic for voice over work. Still in processes of working out optimum setup and software. This mic has everything you need to digitally record and podcast. You can start recording with software like audacity which is free or higher end paid software with more capabilities. Just plug in the provided usb cable to your computer and go. If you need recording for great price this is it. Haven't found any cons for this product yet.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy To Use

great quality sound

  • Excerpt: the mike has amazing quality for a usb mike, and its not a bad price either. however the usb wiggles loose of my computer occasionally, and the first time i plugged it in my computer said "device hardware not installed correctly" and it can take some wiggling and plugging and unplugging to get the computer to recognize it. perfect mike for someone with a longer patience than me.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Doesnt Always Connect To, Unreliable

Awesome and slick

  • Excerpt: Was a great little mic for a good quality throughout the mids and bass. It's built tough. Has a very low recording levels in windows 8 but that may be my setup and the blue indicator like is annoying sometimes as well. Overall, worth the cost.

Easy, semi-pro-caliber recording tool

The Cobbler, B&H Photo
7 June 2012
  • Excerpt: I'm not sure I (or anyone) would use this for pro-caliber recordings, particularly for music, given both the USB situation and the medium+ quality of the mic. But this is the only mic I've used for quick-but-decent voiceover recording for several years. There is not an easier way to get the characteristic "clean" sound of a large-diaphragm condenser for computer-based voiceover recording.
