Summary: I just got this mic in yesterday and recorded a song with it. Fantastic mic for the lower range vocals! I sing in a tenor range and all my other mics are suited well for higher vocal range. But am recording a few songs in a baritone range, and the mics sounded too thin (in my opinion) - this AT2010 really fattened up my lower range. Highly recommend this mic!
Summary: I purchased one of these and hurriedly ordered another to have a pair after testing. Frequency response and self noise are excellent. I use these on a stand or boom but found the handling noise to be fairly low. Not as low as a SM58 though. The pickup pattern allows use of a floor monitor if the performer needs one though I use these in my studio. I did have in mind using them on the road if needed.
Summary: Excellent quality condenser microphone with cardiod polar pattern. Good clarity of sound. No handling noise. Prefer it had a on/off switch since in our band no one runs the mixer once we start to play.
Summary: After being plagued by poor audio reports with my Icom IC-7000, I first tried the Bob Nagy AB5N modification which made a really big difference to my audio, however I was still regularly told that my audio was too bassy and wooly. Desperate to try something different, I tried a cheap Plantronics headset with a home brew interface cable and PTT switch... Reports were surprisingly better, however still not great.
Summary: Bought this mic going on the previous review & other reviews from other sites. I have a 746 Pro going thru a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer, thats it. This mic has gotten the best audio reports of any that i have used which include Audio Technica ATR-50 AKG D-870 & MXL V63M. Purchased thru Audio-Depot for 50.00. Thats right, 50.00 Get one before they raise the price.
