Very inexpensive, but meets my needs

Fellow Amazon Fan, Amazon
15 April 2014
  • Summary: I bought it several years ago. It still works, loud enough for my basement. I use it when I run on my treadmill. I like it.

Cheaply made, but it works

Owen Smithyman, Amazon
23 June 2013
  • Summary: You get what you pay for, but in this case it's mostly fine. My only complaint was that the 1/8th" audio input jack got pushed into the case when someone bumped the plug. When I opened the case, I found that while all the other inputs were securely attached to the case with screws, the 1/8" jack was merely glued to the inside of the case.

Absolute Trash

  • Summary: I'm an engineer & a tech person, & have over 40 years of experience in building, buying, & playing with electronic equipment. I've found that most products function adequately; many suffer from some type or types of issues, & some surprise w/ their cleverness. Regardless, I'm seldom moved to write a review on any piece of equipment. However, in this case, I literally feel as if I've been robbed of ~ $100.00 US.

Better than I ever expected

Brian Davis, Amazon
2 May 2013
  • Summary: Bought two of these receivers because of the price. One for home for the ceiling mount speakers and one for work to power six different speakers. To be honest, I didn't expect much performance or volume for that matter but I was so pleasantly surprised. The sound is great and the units don't get hot like my Onkyo's did. I won't say this is the best receiver ever, but it over delivers based on the price paid.

plusses and minuses

Robert S. Weller, Amazon
1 April 2013
  • Summary: This unit plays an ipod/ipad, although I'm not sure if it is digital input. The tuner is very weak at maintaining a signal and staying on a station, even with the exterrnal FM antenna. My biggest complaint is that the remote control doesn't have an on/off button. Sound is good, and it pushes 2-25 watt outdoor "rock-looking" speakers well. Good price, quick shipping, and otherwise ab out what I expected.

not at all worth it

erik, Amazon
18 March 2013
  • Summary: I bought this for our basement in our craft workshop. Hooked it up to the mp3 player, turned the volume ALL the way up, and could not hear it on the other side of the basement. Defiantly NOT 800 watts of power here (I almost doubt if there's 8). Yes, I know my stereos.... and this was a waste of money.... don't waste yours.
