Summary: I have had mine for at least 2 years and would buy another , it's a lot easier to operate then some of the other receivers out their I had a receiver that had everything on it had lousy sound and was like operating a computer it was terriable got rid of it and used this . the rest of my componets are stacked in a stereo cabinet and it has never shut off not sure what the others were doing to have that happen.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Safe, Well Designed
Summary: So I was sitting in my bedroom and just thinking about how awesome this receiver is. Ive had several HDMI receivers and what not since, but I bought this guy back in 2008 and is been hauled to the pool, partys throughout my 4 years of college, and its still sounds as good as the day I got it. Goes to show you dont need a whole bunch of fancy hoopla to get great sound. I paid about $100 for this from radio shack and its no wonder it goes for the same price today.
Summary: Stereo? receiver this amplifier does not work with an equalizer. it has no tape monitor, although it has rca jacks for tape in and tape out. it distorts the sound of the speakers. not what I wanted. you should inform your customers of this. this is an AV amp not stereo.
Summary: Bought this to replace an old Pioneer that I loved. I thought I would take the budget route. Should have known better. This receiver sounds harsh and even with the bass cranked, it sounds thin. If you like to feel kick drums and bass guitar, stay away. Would be okay for an office application, but for audio lovers who want to make their music thump, look elsewhere. It's really my fault for thinking I could get away with a cheap replacement.
Summary: the sound is great! but why pay for a product that cant comply! it shuts off all of a sudden now. purchased it in march of 2013- it went kaput in august 2013!!! and I never have the top covered or blocked! what gives!!! this is my second receiver in 2yrs!!! money being wasted!
Summary: I purchased my 4109 in early May and one of my channels had burned out by early August. Now I either have to take the loss, or go through the hassle of making a warranty claim. I also have an inexpensive 40 year old Realistic receiver with an 8 track in my shop, that still works.
Summary: This product replaced a previous reciever and has 3 times the power. Bought new speakers for it and can't believe the sound quality it has. I have had no problems like some people with it shutting off after being turned on.With volume on about 40, it sounds like it'll blow you out of the room.Has a good FM wire hook up.
Summary: Easy to set up but the antenna doesn't receive much even thou I live in the city. Only other draw back is that you can't turn the attached tape player through the receiver so you have to turn it on separately. Also you can't fine turn the radio stations if they are slightly off. For the money it's a good deal for what I use it for.
Summary: DESPITE SOME OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS I DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS PURCHASE. (FOR THE PRICE I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL) YOU SEE MY FATHER IN LAW WAS MISSING HIS 25 YEAR OLD TECHNICS RECEIVER THAT GAVE UP THE GHOST AND ASKED ME TO FIND A INEXPENSIVE RECEIVER THAT WOULD COEXIST WITH HIS TURNTABLE,TV,CD PLAYER AND WAIT FOR THIS ....HIS VCR. ALL WITH RCA PLUGS ! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HE NEEDED !!
Summary: This is a reliable basic stereo receiver for the person seeking general am/fm receiver/amplifier needs. This is a staple in an office, den or similar situation. I would recommend it to anyone seeking this type of general need.
