Summary: Bought this to replace a 16 year old Technics SA-GX110 that lost output in it's right channel. Very impressed with the build quality, discrete transistor outputs (no flat pack IC output chips), great FM tuner, and very straightforward design. All controls on remote are duplicated on the front panel. I wish more manufacturers would do this. Sounds is very clean, no over emphasized distorted bass or squealing highs.
Summary: I have had mine for at least 2 years and would buy another , it's a lot easier to operate then some of the other receivers out their I had a receiver that had everything on it had lousy sound and was like operating a computer it was terriable got rid of it and used this . the rest of my componets are stacked in a stereo cabinet and it has never shut off not sure what the others were doing to have that happen.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Safe, Well Designed
Summary: the sound is great! but why pay for a product that cant comply! it shuts off all of a sudden now. purchased it in march of 2013- it went kaput in august 2013!!! and I never have the top covered or blocked! what gives!!! this is my second receiver in 2yrs!!! money being wasted!
Summary: I purchased my 4109 in early May and one of my channels had burned out by early August. Now I either have to take the loss, or go through the hassle of making a warranty claim. I also have an inexpensive 40 year old Realistic receiver with an 8 track in my shop, that still works.
