  • Summary: Note that you need a specially wired Speakon cable for bridged mono. The amp end must have the minus wire in pole +2 instead of the usual -1. A standard Speakon will give you only channel 1, resulting in half the watts you hoped for at your cabinet. Other features include 30Hz and 50Hz filters, clip protection, and delayed power on to avoid a transient from a preamp powered on at the same time. One quirk of QSC is that the fan blows forward, not back.

  • Summary: I like to get all my tone from the guitar and the preeamp and so was after a super clean poweramp and the QSC certainly fits the bill here. I use it bridged into the epifani which, due to the cabs unusual 3 speaker configuration (~5.2 ohm), yields about 1300 watts. All I can say is that I dont know what these guys are on about who say you need 2k+ for suffient headroom. I play in a very loud classic rock band and still have loads of headroom on the low-b.
