I keep getting the other model when I buy one of these ....

Summary: This is the third one of these that I have purchased in the past two years or so. Every one that I have purchased including the most recent one, was advertised as a Pyramid PR2500/SEA2500. Every one that I have received was a Pyramid SEA2500X. I am not complaining since the SEA2500X is a more expensive and at least on paper higher spec model. They work well with the high powered amplifiers (1000 watts or more) that I use for stage PA systems.
Summary: This is an incredible product for the price, don't let the name fool you, they are actually a great brand. The old saying of "you get what you pay for" don't apply here. Very good component to have if you are even remotely entertaining your own system build. The preamp has good volume, great connectivity options and it certainly does dish out more than one would think.
Summary: Unit provides far more than what I bought it for. The output level is a little less than I was expecting but still within the range of the application it is being used in. One major issue - when the product arrived, the fuse holder was in pieces. Fortunately, I have an electronics background so reassembling the fuse holder and re-installing it in the unit was relatively easy. For someone else this may have been a serious problem, forcing the consumer to return the unit.
Summary: Wow was this Preamp a piece of junk! It's preout is set so low that most good amps will never come close to there max output! It's ugly to boot with it's strange color code and the knobs are really cheap. I ordered one of these to see if it would work with a Hafler DH-500 Class A high output amp? Well it's preout voltage is so low that the Hafler could not come close to putting out it's rate 255+ watts per channel into an 8 OHM load.
I highly recommend this product to all audiophiles.

Summary: I had a Carver preamp/tuner that went out on me while I was doing my daily music listening. I started searching for a replacement, but this time I only wanted the preamp because I already have a carver seperate tuner. I bought the pyramid after days of research because I was looking for the best product I could find for the money. The pyramid did not disappoint. It is a simple, easy to use preamp with all the connectivity I need to rock out; I have not been disappointed.
Summary: The audio quality was poor and did not meet my requirements. The controls and inputs/outputs seemed like they might have been adequate but the sound quality was so poor that I had to send it back.
Summary: I purchased this Pre Amp so that i could listen to my 331/3LP records many of them over 50 years old. I needed a preamp because my sterio Amp with 7.1 channels wouldn't produce any sound from my record changer All I cAN SAY IS WOW what beutiful sound thsi Pre Amp makes and wahat a beutiful price Amazon sells it. Buy you won't be dissapointed.
