Summary: This is a well-made unit for an essential purpose when you have several cartons of vinyl and a newer receiver. Some reviewers have said that this unit outputs better sound than the USB turntables.
Summary: Works fine for my needs, which is running a basic turntable through an analogue compact stereo system so that we can play our old collection of vinyl. Nice sturdy metal case, basic inputs and outputs. Decent price. Good delivery.
Makes a seriously bad HUMMING sound - avoid this unit!

Summary: This unit has one HUGE flaw, and based on the reviews, I'm not the only one who has experienced it. There is a VERY loud humming sound that comes and goes, seemingly randomly. I've noticed that if I hold the unit a certain way, or give it a good smack, the humming subsides, but it randomly creeps up from time to time and makes listening to my records very unenjoyable.

Summary: This product was defective and did not work longer than a couple days. The green light no longer comes on after a couple uses and there is significant noise coming through the speakers - both indications that it is defective. Do not purchase!
Summary: Seems to be working, but I am having a noise issue, but this may be caused by my cables from the turn table. The noise comes and goes when I move the cables. Also somewhat quiet, but does the trick.
Summary: I was looking forward to using this preamp after reading the glowing reviews. I was very disappointed. The sound is not bad per se, it is just very dull, the dynamics are lost. I bought this to replace a 25 year-old Realistic preamp (42-2109) who is playing too hot for my digital capture gear. The Realistic sounds much better, even with the slight clipping. This is getting shipped back asap.
Summary: All I needed was something so that I could finally use my Pro-Ject Essentials turntable and this little box did the trick. Great for an amateur like me on a tight budget and I haven't noticed any noise. I only wish it had a volume dial on it so that I could use it directly to my Grado headphones, but instead I just have it routed through my MacBook.
