Summary: Never heard so much line noise out of amp in my life. But you get what you pay for and that's not much for this amp. hard to operated is not user friendly I have purchased a lot amps in my life and this thing doesn't deserve to be on the market!
Summary: It's claimed to be a four channel amp. Unfortunately, it is not. It's only a two channel amp with a plethora of speaker connecfions. Dont be deceived as I was. On a plus, it has pretty blue backlighting to smooth the anger of it not being what it's claimed to be though
Excerpt: I bought this to run some HUGE Peavey stacks, LONG ago discontinued. I had to order a couple of cables elsewhere since I would have had to wait 7-10 days for them to ship, one of the rare products not in stock here. I WILL SAY that in the photos, the amp appears to be perfectly ready for standard banana connectors, but I had to cut my ends, as standard ends were spaced too WIDE. It did not affect operation though.
Summary: All and all I would recommend this. It has a good sound and is fairly easy to install. The fan does make a small noise, but not too loud.
Pros: I was a little iffy on this, I got it for christmas. I read some bad reviews on another site, but some good ones too. So I have had it hooked up to 4 6 inch 8ohm speakers, and 1 10" subwoofer. The banana posts in the back work well for installation. I use this with my Computer for gaming and music. It has a great sound and is louder than my old sony shelf system with the same speakers. It has an MP3 Jack in the front so its easy to hook to computer. I dont use the kar...
Cons: The only thing I dont like, is the subwoofer output on the back apparently needs an amplifier to power it, the rca jacks on the back for sub do not seem to do anything at all.
Excerpt: I purchased this unit to use at my cottage on the lake. I have it connected inside to run outside speakers. Other than the fan being a little noisy for about 5 seconds during start up, I'm perfectly happy with it's performance. Great value and a practical hybrid amplifier.
Excerpt: Hard to argue with $ for a dual zone amplifier with tuner. It works alright, but I can see replacing it in a few years with something better. The built-in fan is noisy and can distract from the audio experience. Hence, loud for an amplifier. Also, the remote control doesn't turn the unit on/off. You have to lay your hands on the main unit to do that.
