Summary: This receiver has perfect sound and accepts my iphone seamlessly! I love the quality of the sound! I would recommend this item if you are looking for a little more than the basic receiver, but don't want to break the bank!
Summary: Love the internet radio and Pandora function. My internet is somewhat slow and this still streams great. Love that I can program my songs and stations on my computer and then access them on the receiver. My connections drops sometimes but I believe that is my internet connection since I only have access to DSL through the phone system. I am very pleased. I have had this for about 2 months now.
Summary: I absolutely love this system. It is in my living room which has no TV, so the low cost of a 2-channel system for music was very appealing. This appears to be the lowest-cost network-capable receiver made by Onkyo. I have this receiver and a set of BIC HT8W in-wall speakers. I needed nearly 50 feet of wire per speaker so I chose 14-gauge wire. I was skeptical about having only a receiver and nothing else.
Summary: Purchased to power Klipsch rock speakers around my pool. Works great, plenty of power and really enjoying the streaming of pandora and SirusXM. Also nice I could tuck it away and control with just iPhone / iPad / iPod. Purchased a AppleTV and now kids can just use airplay to wirelessly stream their music to the device with no wires. Sound quality is also very good, tuner works great and love the subwoofer output on a non home theatre receiver.
Great for audio entertainment; and if you need video the connections are there

Summary: I needed a new amplifier to replace an 18 year old Onkyo that was having issues. This machine provides connectivity to all my audio through the USB, Ethernet, optical audio and analog connections. It connected to the home network easily via a wireless bridge (Linksys) and an Ethernet cable to the receiver. Hooked the TV to the bridge also and then ran an optical audio cable from the TV to the receiver.
Summary: The gym I work out at had a cheap all in one boom box and it could not drive the 8 speakers in the ceiling. The Onkyo does a great job. Now the only complaint is the type of music. It helps that everyone can actually hear it now :).
Summary: I bought this stereo to provide more options for me to listen to music throughout the house. The main stereo (a higher line Onkyo) is connected to the TV and cable. Once the kids start watching TV, music is done. I bought this one since I simply wanted music. Since the first Onkyo I purchased worked so well, I bought this one. I have four rooms wired for sound. I use a speaker splitter to allow maximum flexibility so that each stereo could be on in any room.
a bit tricky to set up internet streaming but worth it

Summary: It took a bit of searching on the Web to discover how to enter my Pandora account name since it was an email address with an embedded @. The onscreen "keyboard" (through which you scroll and select a character at a time) does not have an @ until you scroll to SHIFT and press Enter. You don't get any feedback that this has changed things until you scroll some more and see that the @ is now something you can select.
