Better Than Expected

Userman, B&H Photo
5 February 2015
  • Excerpt: This unit is excellent and has more features than I realized when I bought it. Setup was simple and it is mostly intuitive to use. The menu system requires some getting use to and a call to tech support was useful to decode the menu system. Tech support is fast and accurate.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Good Remote
  • Cons: Poor Interface

nice solid receiver

  • Excerpt: Replaced my old NAD receiver with this one. For a basic two channel setup for listening to classical music it works very well. There are plenty of hookups, including one for a phono/turntable, which is rare nowadays. Everything sounds clean and clear on my KEF speakers, plenty of power.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Intuitive Controls

The Sound of Music

Snowflake, B&H Photo
23 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this receiver with my ipad to stream music over some big old speakers I bought at a rummage sale. Once I got it going, the sound was unbelievable! I have been listening to the radio as well as I work in my studio.I thought it was glitching out but figured it was my wi-fi not reaching too far.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Good Remote
  • Cons: Confusing Remote

Great value receiver!

Margaret J. Byrnes "MaggieB", Amazon
28 November 2014
  • Summary: This receiver does a lot of things well. It serves as the nexsis of my sound system, connecting radio, cable TV, internet, woofer, CD, DVD, computer and looks good doing it. I also got the optional LAN device which allows me to putter about the garage while listening to my personal Pandora "Amy...

Great 2 channel system!

Amazon Customer, Amazon
20 October 2014
  • Summary: This receiver has shown me the folly of trying to use a multi channel receiver to play just music. For pure 2 channel sound this will blow just about anything else out of the water. This receiver is being used for a phono, CD changer, cassette and mini disc player.

Great Amp

11 July 2014
  • Excerpt: Use to play cable TV music channels on deck. Great for that. Has more inputs than I'll ever use.Could have better FM antenna - only get 2-3 FM stations, depending upon weather, from the little single-wire antenna included. Will need to install a different one in the future.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Interfaces Well With TV

Good bang for your buck

SBL110, ABT Electronics
7 July 2014
  • Excerpt: For the price, it's hard to top the TX-8050 for the features it delivers. While it's only a 2-channel receiver, I wouldn't recommend it for a home theatre. That being said, it does support network connectivity (streaming audio and DLNA) and second listening zone that can be driven by a source other...
