Excerpt: I hooked these to my wonderful 1970's vintage EPI's that had once been powered by a lovely sounding TEAC receiver. Well, what a disappointment my first Onkyo piece turned out to be. No vocal nuance or layering, this thing is best suited for the scooped sound of hip hop (I guess).
Excerpt: In less than two years this unit was in shop three times. This last shop visit lasted from early July to today - Aug 19. Kurt note that I should "try to connect the Ethernet cable directly from the MODEM to the RECEIVER." The unit has always been directly hard wired.
Cons: 3 X To Shop In Less 2 Yrs, Poor Interface, Poor Sound Quality
Summary: I bought this receiver in 2013. In late 2014 it quit working. They repaired it free of charge, it worked for a few months and quit working again. Onkyo Support won't even respond to my emails. I will Never buy another Onkyo product.
Excerpt: This review is a little different because I bought this unit and had it delivered to my Florida address but my components are in Canada. I bought it here because the price is about $ cheaper than in Canada...even after the exchange!Anyway..
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Intuitive Controls
Excerpt: The receiver performs to my expectations, but using pandora, serius , or internet programming without an Android or iThing app is not really viable due to the receivers limited display. Overall very happy.
