Excerpt: Great little amp with loads of power! I bought this as an upgrade to my NAD 7120 receiver (20w/ch) of unknown age. I had previously thought that NAD was out of my price range. But good old Boxing Week found them on sale for $299!!! Now you can't beat that unless they are giving them away....lol. I also bought the IPD 2 for my classic iPod as they had no phono preamps in stock (I was promised mine by Friday!). Once I hooked it up...WOW! What a splendid surprise!!! It brought my iPod to life! Great sound even at low volumes...this sounds way more then its listed 40 w/ch!!! I can actually hear different musical instruments like I never could before. Plus it has really little THD (<.01%???) I have by no means fantastic speakers (Athena AS-B2 bookshelves)....but they now feel and sound like ones $1,000 of dollars more. I listen exclusively to classic rock. And my NAD C316BEE never let me down...from Blondie's "One Way Or Another" raunchy vocals to Journey's "Only The Young"sweet guitar intro to Madonna's "La Isla Bonita" tropical music sounding so great I felt like Im was on an island paradise! This amp has no phono preamp like those of old ....but at this price who can quibble? Few if no bells and whistles besides a Tone Defeat button on the front panel. BUT....I'll take sweet, great, perfect music EVERYTIME!!! Now....wouldnt you???
