Summary: I bought this VCan II to use in the bedroom as the Cyrus 8XP has a rear headphone socket.(very inconvenient) source is a Rega Saturn. On my main system I use a Cyrus CDXTse2/DAC XP+/2x mono X 200 power amps into Kef R500's and the speaker system is ace, my cans are AKG701 and sennheiser HD650 and are supplied by a Graham Slee Solo ultra linear diamond special edition, still no where near as good as speakers, but a fine combo on both sets of cans, AKG...
Summary: I bought this VCan II to use in the bedroom as the Cyrus 8XP Amp has a rear headphone socket.(very inconvenient) source is a Rega Saturn. On my main system I use a Cyrus CDXTse2/DAC XP+/2x mono X 200 power amps into Kef R500's and the speaker system is ace, my cans are AKG701 and sennheiser HD650 and run through a Lehmann Black Cube Linear Amp, still no where near as good as speakers, but a fine combo on both sets of cans, AKG ~ folk/acoustic/classic, Sennys ~ rock and...
Summary: Compared to my previous 'highly reviewed' DAC the V-DAC II instantly gave a more open, dynamic and natural presentation, with a much improved soundstage. It certainly reminded me of a Musical Fidelity Amplifier I use to own. Initially I used the USB input. This sounded excellent on windows XP where no additional drivers were required.
Summary: Ordered this Thursday lunchtime from Analogue Seduction via Amazon and it arrived this morning. Fab service from A.S as usual. The amp is just tremendous, was using a Project Headbox before but this is simply in a different league. I must point out that I'm using the V-PSU that I had for my V-LPS phono stage so I assume that lifts the performance another notch. Even taking the price of the PSU into account I reckon you'd have to spend a fair chunk more to better it.
Summary: The V-CAN II is a small, tidy, brushed aluminium box that I have connected to a Musical Fidelity V-DAC II (both of which are powered by a MF V-PSU II). It does exactly what is says on the can, in that it acts as an amp for my AKG K 702 'phones. It feels solid, looks elegant in a modern, Bauhaus-style fashion. I like the industrial-like look, and I use it in an office environment, so it's in keeping.
Summary: I bought the Music Fidelity V-Can II headphone amplifier to use in the evenings because I live in a flat. This instrument is being used with a Cyrus 1 integrated amplifier, a Sony HWS-BTA2W bluetooth wireless audio adapter and Sony DR-BT50 bluetooth Stereo headset. I have also tried it with my Sennheiser HDR 120 wireless headphones. In both cases the sound is superb and the headphone amplifier has no trouble in driving wireless headphones over the listening range.
Summary: Mycket bra ljud, men Den passar dessvärre inte för vissa högohmiga hörlurar såsom Sennheiser HD650.
