Summary: I have a set of these in the kick panels of my S-10, hooked up to an Alpine 50 X 4 amp. (also powering a set of Infinity Reference coax. w/an extra tweeter) I have the components set to 60hz, the full range set to 120hz. Have a 12in. Kicker CompVT sub behind seat, Boston A. 4 X 6 in dash. These are great mid range speakers, don't listen to any bad reviews. Very realistic sounding!
Summary: I always choose Infinity and these speakers did not disapoint. Great mid bass down to about 60 hz but they really don't go lower than that. They are designed with a subwoofer system in mind. The treble is quite loud but you do have an option to drop the tweeter by 3 db. They can be a little harsh shoudning and would sound best with a little filler sound such as rear deck speakers. A 3 way component kit would sound much better but for what they are, the sound great.
Summary: Even though this model of Infinity is the so called "entry level" of Infinity's products, I can honestly say that you can not tell. Crisp and clear mid range accompanied by piercing hi's is what you will get with these. Make sure that you mount your tweeter no more than 18 inches away from the mid range speaker for best results.
