I love this stereo receiver
20 July 2014
Summary: I reviews it and i was in love with it. But this is what happened: the speaker terminal become loose and i ended up breaking it, then i sold it. the terminal allows banana plugs but i didnt see it anywhere. The sound is OK for the price, I think its very clear and raw lacking smoothness.
Summary: My beloved 20+ year old Nak Reciever1 finally passed on. Believe me I tried to revive it with 2 visits to the electronics repair store and 300 dollars. RIP old buddy. So I needed a new reciever that would get WAF (wife acceptance factor). This cambridge fits the bill. Easy to use and sounds great.
Pros: Sounds great. Makes you want to pull out all your CD's and see what you've been missing!
Cons: Wish I had bought this before trying to repair my old reciever!
Overall a good quality product with a budget price tag.

Summary: not only was this the only receiver I could find that had mp3 and phono (for my old AR transscription deck), it is also extremely fine quality (have some nice old speakers - both studio and PA, and it drives both fine)
Summary: This was easy to install, looks lovely and works well. I was tod to put it on top of the CD player so it puts pressure on it, but because of the large ventilation holes on top, I was worried about dust so it is below it until I get a record deck.
Summary: Was bought as a replacement for my old diy kit pre/power amp combo & NAD FM only tuner. Works well with my existing 30year old equipment (MS Pageant 2 speakers, Phillips CD104b & Thorens TD160 / Ortofon OM10). Very pleased with the sound quality, bass is tight & top end is not overly bright.
Summary: Ticks all the boxes, Plenty of power to spare even when playing from my MP3 player. Tuner and front jack for said MP3 player. Goes without saying the service from staff at R.S. Glasgow was excellent as usual. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Summary: I route my TV sound through my HiFi, so as well as providing the amplifier for CD, turntable and cassette deck, this unit is in use every day for the telly. It was really easy to get set up. The built-in tuner works perfectly in our area, which is something of a "not-spot".
Summary: My wife has always complained of the array of hi fi separates and their accompanying connecting wires. As a gesture of good will to the good lady, I decided to discard the existing ageing Sansui tuner and Marantz KI amp.
