Great Desktop amp

Amazon Customer "Neil", Amazon
24 April 2014
  • Summary: I wanted better sound at my computer and Audioengine delivered. I have this matched with a set of the P4 speakers. For a computer desktop system this is a great combination. For normal humans this set up has plenty of power, if you are a bit of a nut like me you will find this system is a little lacking on power. But that is just my opinion, my daughters come in most nights and tell me to turn it down so the power is fine.

Audioengine awesomeness

Joseph R. Lentini III "urikhai", Amazon
19 March 2014
  • Summary: This was my first Audioengine product... Probably won't be my last. I have it hooked up to two passive Klipsch speakers I had from a ProMedia Ultra 5.1 setup. Just getting signal from the headphone speaker on my PC, the sound quality is unreal - So far beyond my expectations. Turned all the way up, no sound comes out of the speakers. The sound is so clean. I'd swear I have a center channel...the sound is so 3D.

  • Excerpt: I use this amp for my DJ set up at home both conventional and digital and it works perfectly. I use it with wired speakers and 3.5 mm computers speakers as well, can also use a subwoofer w/ 3.5 mm connectivity. It is perfect for those with limited space, the sound quality is great and it is well constructed.
  • Pros: Compact, Great quality, Simple to set up, USB port
  • Cons: Support Apple Products, Usb Port Does Not

A great little amplifier for anybody who likes to hear their music as it was intended to be heard.

Brandorr, Amazon
21 February 2014
  • Summary: This little amplifier is absolutely fantastic for anybody who wants to connect their computer to passive speakers. While this amp doesn't have a DAC in it, it's small size makes it absolutely ideal for use with a pair of bookshelf speakers that you can place on your desk so that they are in front of you. It is meant for use with computers, and does it very well.

Perfect solution for AirPlay + wall/ceiling speakers

Mitchell V. Gossman, Amazon
26 January 2014
  • Summary: I have 5 of these! Purchase an Airport Extreme, connect to the Audioengine, and then to your speakers of choice (I like the Bose rectangular ceiling punt speakers), and you have yourself a relatively affordable wireless streaming audio capability. I have one in my home office, two bathrooms, garage, and family room. With this and one of the radio streaming apps you don't need a radio tuner. Attributes that make it perfect for this: 1.

Powers my systems wonderfully

Anthony Smith, Amazon
22 November 2013
  • Summary: I did quite a bit of research before buying an amp and DAC. I ended up going with this amp and the associated Audio Engine DAC. I'm very happy with them both, they work well together. The size of this is good, and it powers the Audio Engine P4 speaks easily. Build quality is top notch. I considered going with a smaller, cheaper, chinese amp, but this gives me comfort that it will be plugging away years from now. Not so sure about the less expensive options.

Audioengine's sound is superb!

Electronic, Amazon
15 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought the Audioengine N22 Black Premium Desktop Audio Amplifier to work in conjunction with: Audioengine P4 Premium Passive Bookshelf Speaker Pair and Audioengine S8 Premium Powered Subwoofer. The combination provides outstanding sound for music played on my computer and audiophile turntable. I have a Bose home theater and now want to replace it with Audioengine speakers because it sounds flat and uninspiring compared to Audioengine products.

The perfect solution for 2.1 system

James W., Amazon
9 August 2013
  • Summary: My wife wanted an iPod/iPhone speaker system. I did a ton of research and some auditioning. The ones that sounded great were over $500 which I did not want to spend. I had an old Boston Acoustic Micro System 9000 laying around that's worth practically nothing and decided to find an mini amplifier to drive it because I was sure that it'd sound alot better than any ipod speaker system that I could find for $200. And then I found this gem, the N22.

Exactly What I Needed

Unken Ken, B&H Photo
27 March 2013
  • Excerpt: I bought this amp to beef up the audio from my computer and flatscreen TV. I record using home studio DAW and got tired of mixing through the headphones [although they get me pretty close].Paired with the Audioengine P4's it really rocks.I like the vertical orientation. It fits on my desk nicely. Plenty of power for smaller room. Some might consider it a downside to have only two sets of inputs, but if I wanted more I would have gotten a full sized audio amp.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
  • Cons: A Little Expensive
